Ghazals, Yoga, Sweets, Walks And Chats Helped City Toppers De-stress
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Listening to Jagjit Singh’s ghazals, taking a walk, eating sweets, doing yoga and talking to parents and friends were the stress-busters of toppers in the JEE Main Session 2 from the city.
The results were announced late on Friday night. The toppers told the Free Press that their preparations for the Class 12 board exams complemented their studies for JEE.
All of them plan to take the JEE Advance and want to graduate in electronics and computer science.
Rohit Bedi (99.98 percentile)
Rohit Bedi said "I studied by myself for six hours on days when I had classes and for nine hours on other days. I focused on inorganic chemistry, writing down formulae to memorize them."
He added "I used WhatsApp only to exchange study material. If I get through the Advance test, I will prefer computer science and electronics. My mother is a homemaker and my father is a placement officer in a private college."
Rohit bedi Mohammed Hamza (99.90 Percentile)
Mohammed Hamza said "I did better than I had expected as the monitor of my computer had malfunctioned while I was taking the exam. My score in Session 1 was 99.88."
"Studying for Class 12 examinations helped me prepare for JEE as well. Between the two sessions, I worked hard on my chemistry. I took a mock test every day."
He added "When I was tense, I used Instagram to access content on international news and scientific developments. I am from Shahdol, where my father runs a business and my mother looks after the house. I want to study computer science at Delhi IIT."
Mohammed Hamza Avni Bansal (99.84 percentile)
Avni Bansal said "In Session 1, I scored 99.70 and was expecting to score higher this time. My focus was on Maths but I solved at least 60 old question papers of all the subjects."
She added "A 30-minute yoga session in the morning helped me deal with stress. I want to go for computer science. My father is an engineer and my mother a homemaker."

Archit said "My father is a general manager in an automobile agency and my mother is a homemaker. I had scored 97.9 percentile in Session 1. Besides attending coaching classes, I used to study for 4-6 hours every day."
He added "Preparations for Board exams did not come in the way of my preparations for JEE. Talking to friends and a half-an-hour evening walk were my stress busters. Besides Advance, I would also be taking the entrance exam for admission to BITS, Pilani."
Archit GangradeAnshika Dhakad (98.70 percentile)
Anshika said "In Session 1, I scored low in physics. So, I focused on it and this time I scored 100 percentile in the subject. For chemistry, I practiced drawing the molecular structures of chemical compounds. My father has retired from the CRPF and my mother manages the household. I was on WhatsApp andalso watched videos on YouTube. To combat stress, I used to eat sweets and listen Jagjit Singh's ghazals."
