Meet Pulkit Kejriwal, lesser-known son of ex-Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, scored 96% in class 12, cracked JEE, went to IIT-Delhi and then…
Pulkit Kejriwal, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has kept a low profile despite being part of a well-known political family. While his father remains a central figure in Indian politics as the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Pulkit has chosen a very different path keeping his focus on education and career growth. From a young age, Pulkit stood out for his academic excellence. He scored an outstanding 96 per cent in his Class 12 CBSE board exams while studying at Delhi Public School (DPS). His hard work paid off when he cleared the IIT-JEE, one of India’s toughest competitive exams, getting admitted into the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. His success was widely appreciated, especially since he achieved it on his own merit.
What is Pulkit Kejriwal doing now?
After joining IIT Delhi, Pulkit has remained focused on his studies and career, away from the media glare. Unlike many children of politicians who consider joining public life, Pulkit has shown no interest in entering politics. Instead, he has followed his passion for technology and research. Pulkit and his sibling, Harshita Kejriwal, are both graduates from IIT Delhi.
In 2021, he interned at the University of Cambridge for three months that gained him valuable international exposure. The following year, in 2022, he worked as a Summer Associate at FinMechanics, a financial technology firm based in Mumbai.
Pulkit rarely makes public appearances and prefers to stay out of the limelight. He continues to focus on building his career, staying grounded and dedicated to his work.
Arvind Kejriwal expresses pride in his children
Arvind Kejriwal has never shied away from expressing pride in his children’s achievements, especially Pulkit’s academic success. In a past interview, he shared how Pulkit’s excellent performance in the 2019 CBSE exams was one of his proudest moments as a father. Despite the pressures of public life, moments like these, he said, brought personal joy and satisfaction.
Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal himself has a strong academic background. Before stepping into politics, he earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, studying there from 1985 to 1989. He also successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination, making him one of the rare individuals to have cracked both IIT-JEE and UPSC—two of India’s most challenging competitive exams.
