MP Wedding Turns Chaotic; Locals Thrash Baraatis For Playing DJ Music In Gwalior Village, Guests Retaliate
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A wedding celebration turned violent after a dispute broke out between baraatis and the villagers over playing DJ music in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior.
The villagers started hurling abuses at the baraatis, forcing them to stop the DJ music when the baraat entered the village. The heated verbal exchange escalated into a physical fight as both parties attacked each other. The villagers and the wedding guests beat each other and threw shoes.
Both the parties belonged to the Dalit community.
The incident happened on Friday night, when the wedding procession of a Dalit family from Kudpar village of Bhitarwar had come to village Nibi of the Pichor police station area of the district. As soon as the wedding procession entered the village, the villagers raised objections over DJ music.
After getting the information, senior police officers Gwalior Rural Additional SP Niranjan Sharma and Dabra City Police, Gijorra Police Station Police Force, and a large number of police forces reached the village and helped the baraatis evacuate safely.
A police force was also deployed in the village to maintain peace.
Pichore police registered a case against six main accused who started the fight-- Dhara Parihar, Akash, Vikas, Rinku, Golu, and Gajendra Parihar. All the accused are currently on the run.
