Madhya Pradesh: 150 Criminals Held During Night Combing, 210 Policemen Launched The Operation

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): The police on Friday claimed to have arrested more than 150 warranty criminals during a combing operation.

The police were searching for the criminals for a long time. According to reports, a team consisting of 210 policemen launched a combing operation from 12 at night to 5am.

During this period, they arrested 146 criminals, checked 128 identified criminals, and acted against one under the excise rules.

The police conducted a night combing operation on Thursday and Friday.

Twenty-eight criminals were arrested from Bherunda police station area and 20 from Ashta.

Similarly, Kotwali police arrested 17 criminals, Rehti police 16; and Ichhawar police took 11 criminals into their custody.

The purpose of the night combing was to keep the district free from incidents of crime.

Cops clueless about thieves after 48 hrs of incident

Nearly 48 hours have passed since a band of burglars struck at the house of a farmer in Pachua village in Pipariya on Wednesday. But the police are still clueless about the thieves.

According to reports, the thieves made off with Rs 2 lakh and gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.

When the incident took place, Choudhary together with his family members went to Pipariya city for some work.

Choudhary said the burglars had broken the lock of the main gate to enter the house.

Soon after getting information, the police rushed to the spot with a dog squad. But the dogs failed to provide any clue about the thieves.

Trader loses gold ring to conmen

In another incident, some conmen duped a trader Mahesh Rathi of his gold ring worth Rs 1, 00, 000. Rathi lodged a complaint at the police station, but the police hardly took any interest in the case.

When there was a political pressure on the police to look into the case, they began to probe the incident, but failed to lay their hands on the culprits.
