Seelampur Murder Case: Who Is 'Lady Don' Zikra? GF Of Gangster Hashim Baba Accused Of Killing Delhi Teen Kunal

New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy, Kunal, was stabbed to death in North East Delhi' Seelampur on Thursday (April 18) evening. The incident reportedly took place at around 7:38 PM when Kunal had stepped out of his home to buy milk. He was rushed to the JPC Hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Kunal’s family alleged that he was targeted and murdered by a group led by a local woman named Zikra, also known as 'Lady Don,' and her brother Sahil. The police launched a manhunt for both the suspects.

Who is 'Lady Don' Zikra?

Zikra, reportedly a well-known figure in the local underworld, gained notoriety for flaunting firearms and leading a gang of alleged criminals in Shahdra Delhi's Seelampur. Locals claimed that she is often seen roaming the streets with a pistol in her hand, accompanied by a group of armed men. She even earned the nickname "Gunwali" for openly displaying weapons in public and on social media.

Her criminal record reportedly includes a previous jail term and an FIR for waving a country-made pistol during Holi celebrations, earlier this year. According to reports, Zikra is also romantically linked to gangster Hashim Baba. Despite past arrests, her influence and reach remain unchecked, with locals also accusing her of routinely threatening Hindu boys in her area.

Known for 'Threatening Hindu' Men

Kunal’s parents believe that the murder was premeditated. “She used to say that if I get a chance, I will kill him. As soon as they got a chance, they killed my child,” Kunal’s father told ABP News. His mother added, “Kunal had no enmity with anyone. He was killed only because he belonged to the Gihara community.”

As per reports, the locals claimed that it's the sixth killing of a Hindu youth in the area in the past few months. “Zikra’s gang keeps threatening Hindus every day. Hindus are not safe here at all,” a resident told the publication.

Protests by Kunal’s family members and neighbours continued through Friday, April 18, with calls for the death penalty for the accused.

Seelampur residents also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for justice, pasting handwritten notes on their homes and staging protests.

Locals also raised poster about 'Hindu exodus' and claimed multiple similar attacks had occurred in the area, allegedly targeting Hindus, and warned of a chakka-jam if the accused weren’t arrested soon.

Delhi's Patparganj MLA Ravindra Singh Negi visited Seelampur to meet the family of the deceased and assured them that the accused in the murder case would be nabbed within two hours.
