Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul Introduce Baby Evaarah To Instagram Fam - See FIRST Photo
Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and Team India cricketer KL Rahul welcomed their first child -- a baby girl -- on March 24, 2025, two years after their marriage. And on Friday, they announced the name of their bundle of joy, and also shared her first glimpse.
Athiya and Rahul took to their social media handles to share a picture of the latter craddling his tiny tot in his arms, while the actress doted on her. "Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/ इवारा ~ Gift of God (sic)," they captioned the beautiful family portrait.
They introduced their firstborn to the world on the occasion of Rahul's 33rd birthday.
In a separate post, Athiya also explained the meaning of baby Evaarah's name. The name pays a special tribute to Athiya's grandmother as well. "Evaarah Vipula Rahul. Evaarah, meaning Gift of God. Vipula, in honour of her great nani and protector. Rahul, her papa (sic)," the note read.
As soon as the new parents shared the post, friends and fans showered the newborn with love and blessings. "Eeeeevvvvvvuuuuuuu," an excited Arjun Kapoor commented, while Sobhita Dhulipala wrote, "This is everything".
Anushka Sharma, Malaika Arora, Vaani Kapoor, and others also dropped hearts for the family.
Athiya and KL Rahul tied the knot in January 2023, at the actress' father Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala in an intimate ceremony. The wedding was attended by family and close friends. Reportedly, the duo met in a through a common friend and started dating.
On the work front, Athiya made her acting debut in 2015 with the film Hero, which starred Sooraj Pancholi in the lead. Later, she starred in Mubarakan alongside Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Athiya Shetty, Neha Sharma, and Ratna Pathak Shah, among others.
She was last seen in Motichoor Chaknachoor which released in 2019, also featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Rahul, on the other hand, recently played a crucial role in Team India lifting the Champions Trophy against New Zealand. He is currently a part of Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premiere League.
