The man who helped Anant get back in shape was none other than the famous celeb trainer Vinod Channa. Apart from Anant, Vinod has trained many Bollywood celebrities. But he made headlines when he helped and guided the mother-son duo — Nita Ambani and Anant Ambani — to shed weight.
Vinod has come a long way in his fitness journey. The man once dealt with body image issues himself and was bullied by peers for being extremely skinny. However, with grit and determination, he made a name for himself in the field.
Discussing his vulnerabilities in his blog, Channa once wrote, “The tease that I used to hear more often during my childhood days made me wonder if I could only get over it someday, as it was quite irritating for me to concentrate on my daily activities. That was also the first and most powerful trigger when the thought of body transformation engrossed my mind.”
Coming back to Anant Ambani, he was highly asthmatic. Doctors prescribed him steroids, which as a result caused a lot of weight gain. However, with hard work and the right guidance of Vinod Channa, he lost 108 kgs in 18 months. Channa created a customised diet and workout plan for his billionaire client and used to make Anant walk 21 km daily.

Apart from that, he also made Anant practise yoga for various health benefits. Additionally, he emphasized functional training and flexibility workouts to develop lean muscle and enhance overall fitness.
When it came to diet, Anant’s trainer asked him to pay more attention to nutritional guidance, emphasised the importance of wholesome foods, portion control, and mindful eating. As per reports, Anant was eating between 1200–1400 calories every day. His diet consisted of more fruits and vegetables and no other fancy supplements.
