Netflix releases documentary of 'Stranger Things' prequel play to please loyal fans

One of the most popular web series on Netflix is set to embark on its last and final adventure As the production of the much-awaited Season 5 of Stranger Things has wrapped, dedicated fans are set to witness the finale of this masterpiece of a series. The season is announced to be split into two parts, thereby building anticipation as the days go on.

Promised to premiere in 2025, the fans eagerly anticipate the release date and trailer, neither of which has been declared yet. Launched in 2016, this series has been long overdue for a happy ending. An official Instagram post by one of the creators, aka the writer Mr. Ross Duffer, stated: “We’ve been telling this story for nearly a decade now. Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids… We can’t wait to share it with you all next year. Until then – over and out.”

For those unaware of this mystical creation, Stranger Things begins with a group of boys trying to find their lost friend in and around Hawkins, a small town where all the mysterious events happen.

The cast comprised Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and many others—most of whom made their name through this popular show.

As a treat to the committed fans and viewers, Netflix released Behind the Curtain: Stranger Things: The First Shadow on April 15th, 2025. It is a documentary of the stage play, a prequel to Stranger Things, that has been enacted primarily at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End. Even though the Duffer brothers did an exceptional job in delivering a marvellous feast to the sci-fi enthusiasts, they would be remiss if the efforts of the rest of the crew were not remembered.

With Season 5 on its way, the fans are extremely drowned in a pool of excitement and sadness—excited because they can’t wait to watch the plot and twists that’ll surely come, but sad because they are not ready to bid their farewells to a series that has been with them for almost a decade.
