'Never Been Better': Karan Johar Dismisses Ozempic Claims & Poor Health Rumours, Reveals Secret Behind Drastic Weight Loss
Filmmaker Karan Johar has been all over the news over the past few months, courtesy his drastic weight loss transformation. One common opinion on the internet was that the Dharma head honcho was using ozempic to aid his weight loss, but he has now debunked the rumours and has issued a statement on his health.
During an Instagram Live session on April 17, KJo assured his fans that his health was perfectly fine. "I’m in the pink of my health. I’ve never been better," he gushed.
He then dismissed the rumours of using the West's favourite weight loss drug, ozempic, and revealed that it was portion control and physical activity that helped him shed his extra kilos.
"It started with me discovering that I needed to correct my blood levels," he stated. He then shared that he restricted himself to eating just one meal a day and followed a strict diet.
The filmmaker also indulged in activities like swimming and paddleball, which helped him burn some extra calories. While he shared his weight loss secret, he also suggested his followers to seek professional advice and not resort to unhealthy practices for quick results.
For those unversed, ozempic is the newest weight loss drug in the market, however, it is not available in India. The drug became widely known after several celebs in the West used it and underwent massive physical transformations.
Recently, Kapil Sharma and Jr NTR shocked fans with drastic physical transformations, and fans wondered if they were using ozempic. Earlier, Vidya Balan too was accused of using the drug to lose weight, but she had debunked the rumours.
On the work front, KJo is gearing up for the release of his next production, Kesari Chapter 2, which will release in theatres on April 18. The film stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in lead roles.
Besides, he is also producing Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, and Dhadak 2 with Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the pipeline.
