Hindus hurt, DMK mins contesting to be ‘slaves’ of Stalin family: Annamalai slams temple tower decoration on Karunanidhi’s memorial

Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party leader K. Annamalai lashed out at HR&CE Minister P.K. Sekar Babu for decorating Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Karunanidhi’s memorial in the shape of a temple tower. Annamalai charged ministers in the Stalin cabinet are competing among themselves to be the best slaves of the chief minister’s family.

Lashing out at the Hindu religious and charitable endowments minister, Annamalai in a social media post on X, “In a competition among DMK ministers to see who can be the best servant to the Chief Minister's family, Minister Shekar Babu is acting beyond limits in professional competition by decorating the memorial of the late DMK leader Karunanidhi like a temple tower.”

The former Tamil Nadu BJP unit chief accused the DMK leaders of continuously hurting the sentiments of Hindus. “The DMK, who claim to have no faith in God, has been making a living by hurting the beliefs of Hindus for a long time. There is a limit to the patience of the public,” Annamalai added.

Annamalai urged the DMK leader to refrain from “hurting Hindus’ beliefs” and he should worship his leader in the puja room at his home. “Minister Shekar Babu should stop using the Hindu Religious Endowments Department for his business competition. If he has so much affection for his late leader, then Minister Shekar Babu should keep his photo in his home's puja room and worship him. If he continues to act out in the name of atheism and insult Hindu religious beliefs, people will teach him a proper lesson,” the BJP leader tweeted.

DMK minister Shekar Babu visited the memorial of Karunanidhi and C.N. Annadurai ahead of the grant request discussion in the assembly on Thursday. The memorial was decorated with flowers in the shape of a temple tower.
