Naveen Files Nomination for BJD President

Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today filed his nomination for the presidency of the Biju Janata Dal, aiming to secure his ninth consecutive term at the helm of the party.

The organizational election of the BJD is underway.

Naveen has filed nomination for the post of BJD state president. As the sole candidate, Naveen has filed nomination for the ninth time to become the state BJD president.

In the presence of party leaders and workers at Shankha Bhawan, he submitted his nomination to BJD state election officer Pratap Deb.

The announcement of the president’s name will be made on April 19, as per sources.

Naveen’s leadership has been a cornerstone of the BJD since its formation in 1997, guiding the party through triumphs and challenges. His most recent election as BJD president in February 2020 marked his eighth term.

Under Naveen’s dynamic leadership, the BJD is gearing up to solidify its role as a powerful opposition force in Odisha, championing the state’s interests and reinforcing its commitment to development of the state.
