500 students conferred degrees at BBK DAV College convocation

BBK DAV College for Women held its 54th convocation to award degrees to 500 graduates and post-graduates. Dr Karamjeet Singh, vice-chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia, Mayor of Amritsar, was the guest of honour at the function.

Principal Dr Pushpinder Walia presented the annual report of the college, highlighting the achievements of BBK DAV in academics, sports and co-curricular activities at the state, national and international level. In her address to the degree recipients, the principal emphasised that BBK DAV is committed not only to academic excellence but also towards nurturing responsible and compassionate individuals who uphold integrity and contribute positively to society.

GNDU VC Dr Karamjeet Singh acknowledged the contribution of BBK DAV College for Women towards women’s education. He highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance, encouraging students to embrace failure as a powerful catalyst for growth, resilience and self-discovery.

Felicitating the degree holders, Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia, Mayor of Amritsar, spoke about the significance of integrating women into the nation’s workforce.
