Kalpit decided to stay in his hometown rather than join the coaching institutes in Kota. He balanced school, self-study, and coaching classes with a well-structured routine. Rather than studying for long hours, such as 15-16 hours a day, Kalpit believed in smart study techniques, maximizing productivity in less time. In a 2017 interview with PTI, Kalpit stated that he didn’t study for 15 hours a day, nor did I take the typical ‘Kota route’ for IIT preparation. However, regular study helped him.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Kalpit secured Rank 1 in the NTSE and qualified for the scholarship in 2015. He also cleared the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholar exam in class 11. In 2017, he achieved Rank 1 in the INAO examination with an impressive score of 91/100. In addition, Kalpit Veerwal made history as the first and only person to score a perfect 360/360 marks in the JEE (Main) examination. Kalpit Veerwal received a Silver Play Button from YouTube for reaching 100,000 subscribers on the AcadBoost YouTube channel, where he helps students with their academic preparation and guidance.
After qualifying the JEE Mains exam, Kalpit took admission to the Computer Science program at the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Bombay. While most students follow the conventional path of completing their graduation, securing a placement, and landing a lucrative job, Kalpit had a different goal in mind. He aspired to earn enough that he wouldn’t need to depend on placements for his future.
During his second year at IIT, Kalpit launched a YouTube channel to share his study techniques and JEE preparation tips. His advice, which was practical and distinct from traditional coaching center methods, resonated with students and quickly gained popularity for being highly effective and helpful.
Kalpit’s AcadBoost was consistently making profits each month. In his final year at IIT Bombay, he took a decisive step and chose to leave the program a semester early to focus on his venture: AcadBoost Technologies.
By 2021, LinkedIn recognized him as one of their ‘Top Voices,’ making him the youngest among 20 exceptional young professionals on the list. It is to be noted that he took the TEDx stage, where he shared his journey from achieving a perfect JEE score to becoming an entrepreneur.
