Farah Khan's Cook Dilip Demands Money For Acting In Khichdi 3 After JD Majethia Confirms 2027 Release, Leaves Her Shocked (VIDEO)

Director Farah Khan has been the talk of the town since she started a cooking show on her YouTube channel, but it's her cook Dilip who continues to steal the spotlight in each video. In the latest episode, Farah and Dilip invited the cast of Khichdi to celebrate the anniversary special of her show. The episode featured cast members Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak, Jamnadas Majethia, and the show's writer-director Aatish Kapadia.

During the shoot, JD Majethia confirmed that Khichdi 3 is in the works and is slated for a 2027 release, marking 25 years since the show's debut. When asked if Dilip would be interested in starring in Khichdi 3, he said, "Paisa denge toh karunga," leaving Farah shocked by his response. To this, she asked him, "Paise bhi chahiye? Itni badi film mil rahi hai!" He responded, "Main aapse bhi toh paisa le raha hoon."

Further, JD Majethia revealed, "On World Laughter's Day (May 4, 2025), we are trying to re-release the first part of Khichdi: The Movie."

Meanwhile, in 2023, the franchise returned with Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan, which underperformed at the box office. Earlier, talking about the film, in an exclusive conversation with the Free Press Journal, he said, "It was our mistake to release the film a week after Diwali. We didn’t want to clash with Tiger 3. We didn't realise that Sunday, which is an important day for a growing film in terms of collection, but piracy killed it. The collection we were expecting, we couldn’t achieve. Khichdi can’t be an unsuccessful franchise; people have loved it. People will watch on OTT or satellite. We were a little disappointed at the box office collection, which we could’ve done better."

The release date of 2027 is yet to be announced.
