'Took You 18 Years to Believe?’: Virat Kohli Trolls RCB Fans, Talks Title Hopes In Hilarious Chat With Mr Nags; Video
Royal Challengers Bengaluru icon Virat Kohli recently spoke about the elusive IPL trophy the one major piece of silverware missing from his otherwise illustrious career. In a comical chat with Mr Nags, Kohli was told that a wave of optimism had swept through the RCB fanbase, with many supporters now “feeling it” and genuinely believing that 2025 could finally be the year their team lifts the IPL title.
Virat Kohli was asked about the No. 18 theory to which he replied, "Were you not feeling it till now? It took 18 years to feel it. What about 17, 16, 19? I think it's a good reason to be in a good space and be positive,"
In the fun-filled segment, Kohli attempted to introduce Mr. Nags to meditation techniques he finds helpful. But what began as a calm moment quickly turned into a comedy show, as Nags hilariously failed to take the process seriously leaving Kohli amused and shaking his head.
Kohli on his social media habits
As teh conversation between the two continues Mr Nags moved toward Kohli’s current social media habits. The former RCB captain revealed that he has consciously pulled back on his engagement with platforms, calling his relationship with social media “a little complicated” these days. However, he hinted that he might increase his presence online in the future when the time feels right.
RCB's performance in IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been living up to the hype this year. In stark contrast to their struggles in IPL 2024, RCB have started strong in the 2025 season, particularly in away games. They've won all four matches on the road so far, beating powerhouses like Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Rajasthan Royals. However the home form at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has been a concern.
Kohli himself has been in stellar touch, leading from the front with 248 runs from six matches, including three solid half-centuries. His opening partner Phil Salt has been equally impressive, scoring 208 runs and providing RCB with explosive starts. After their latest win against Rajasthan Royals, RCB return home to take on the Punjab Kings in their next clash, hoping to turn their home fortunes around.
