This is the only country in world with Zero Muslim population, the name is…

India is a country where people of many religions live. After Hindus, the largest population here is of Muslims. However, apart from India, there are many countries in the world where followers of Islam live.

But can you imagine there is country on earth, where there is no Muslim population.

The world’s smallest country i.e. Vatican City is the first country in the world where not a single Muslim lives. Vatican City is a religious and cultural place for the people of the Catholic community, the Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church worldwide, lives here.

Just like Mecca is the holy city of Muslims, Vatican City is the holiest city of Christians. It is the only country to be entirely designated as a World Heritage site. It was listed in 1984.

So, are there any mosques in Vatican City? If so, where are the mosques located? No, there are no mosques, synagogues, Hindu or Buddhist temples in the Vatican. Infact, there are not even any Protestant or Orthodox Churches in the Vatican either.

The population of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, an African country, is more than 47 lakhs, the population of Muslims there is more than 38 lakh.

About Vatican

Vatican City is a landlocked country. It became independent from Italy in 1929 with the Lateran Treaty, and is a distinct territory under “full ownership, exclusive dominion, and sovereign authority and jurisdiction” of the Holy See, which is itself a sovereign entity under international law, maintaining the city-state’s temporal power, governance, diplomatic, and spiritual independence. The Vatican is also a metonym for the pope, the Holy See, and the Roman Curia.

With an area of 49 hectares, it is the smallest sovereign state in the world both by area and by population. It is also among the least populated capitals in the world. As governed by the Holy See, Vatican City State is an ecclesiastical or sacerdotal-monarchical state ruled by the Pope, who is the bishop of Rome and head of the Catholic Church. The highest state functionaries are all Catholic clergy of various origins. After the Avignon Papacy (1309–1377) the popes have mainly resided at the Apostolic Palace within what is now Vatican City, although at times residing instead in the Quirinal Palace in Rome or elsewhere.
