Hamirpur medical college to have nephrology, neurology depts soon

The Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College and Hospital will have nephrology and neurology departments soon. This was stated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while addressing the gathering at a function organised to mark the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar here today.

He said that the Constitution was drafted by a team led by Dr BR Ambedkar and it had guided the people of the country to progress and prosperity.

Earlier, the CM inaugurated a statue of Ambedkar installed on the premises of the DC office complex here. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works including construction of heliport at Rs 18.42 crore, residential complex of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau at Rs 5.08 crore, sub-health centre at Dharog village at cost of Rs 4.43 crore and Fagot to Fafan link road at Rs 5.26 crore.

The CM said that a cancer hospital would be established along with the medical college at cost of Rs 85 crore. He said that his government is committed to providing best health facilities to the people of the state and to do uniform development.

Ranjit Singh MLA Sujanpur, Suresh Kumar MLA Bhoranj, Sunil Sharma Bittu Political Advisor to CM, Dr Pushpinder Verma Congress leader, Amarjit Singh Deputy Commissioner, Bhagat Singh Thakur Superintendent of Police and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
