Mumbai News: Power Substation At Powai's Low-Level Reservoir Affects Water Supply In BMC's 'L' Ward

Mumbai: Amid the ongoing water crisis in Mumbai, there is a breakdown in the power substation of Powai's low level reservoir. The breakdown has affected the water supply in BMC's 'L' ward that is Kurla, Powar, Chandivali areas.

The statement released by the BMC said the work to restore the substation is going on war footing and water supply will be restored phase wise. However, till then water in the L ward will either be completely disconnected or partially supply will be cut, while some areas will have low supply.

The areas which will have low pressure water supply are: 

Kajupada, Christian Village, Masrani Lane, A. H. Wadia Marg, Wadia Estate, M. N. Marg, Bull Bazar, Sandesh Nagar, Kranti Nagar, Brahmanwadi, Patel Wadi, Buddha Colony, LIG MIG Colony, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Premier Residence, Kapadia Nagar.

Areas where water supply is completely shut off are: 

New Mile Marg, Match Factory Lane, Takia Area, Shivaji Cottage, Taximan Colony, Indira Nagar, Maharashtra Kata, A. B. S. Marg, Chafe Galli, Chunabhatti, Vijay Nagar, Jari Mata Mandir

The municipal administration is appealing to the citizens to use water sparingly and sparingly during the above mentioned period.
