Maharashtra Rainfall Alert: Thunderstorm, Light-Moderate Rains And Gusty Winds To Take Over State In Next 7 Days; Check Out Weather Forecast

Mumbai: After the unseasonal rains took over the entire state including a few neighbouring states, this time the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of unseasonal rains in South Maharashtra, importantly in Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbha. However the skies are predicted to stir clear from rains and cloudy weather for initial days in Western and Northern Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Pune and Nashik.

The unseasonal rainfall and cloudy weather, including thunderstorms, was largely observed in Maharashtra during the first week of April, waiving the increasing humidity for a while. Now, they seem to make a return with thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain with gushy winds with speeds reaching upto 50-60 kmph are likely at isolated places in the districts of Konkan region, Marathwada and Vidarbha in the next 7 days.

Similar weather predictions are made for centre India including regions like Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal and North-East India.

The Orange alert has been issued to Bihar as the rains, thunderstorms and gusty winds would have prominent take over on the state, along with Eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh is more likely to recieve a hailstorm in upcoming week.

Rain Forecast For Mumbai

The sky will remain mostly clear in Mumbai city and its suburbs. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively, the Meteorological Department has predicted. However, partly cloudy skies are predicted on 17, 18 and 19 of April.
