Was Jaideep Ahlawat's Viral Dance In Jewel Thief Song Jaadu Made Using AI? Actor REACTS
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat took the internet by storm recently with his slick dance moves in the upcoming film, Jewel Thief. As the song went viral, some refused to believe that he was the same actor who has always been seen in serious and intense roles, and they wondered if the dance video was made using artificial intelligence (AI). During the trailer launch of Jewel Thief on Monday, Jaideep finally reacted to the chatter around his dancing chops, and shared how he had always been a decent dancer.
During the event in Mumbai, a journalist informed Jaideep about the AI rumours surrounding his dance moves, and while the actor initially denied the claims, he blushed as the audience encouraged him to perform on the song, Jaadu, live. The actor, who looked visibly shy, then joked, "Chalo main maanta hoon ye AI hai!"
He then clarified, "I don't know why people get surprised when someone shows they can dance. I come from Haryana and people who have seen me since my childhood know that I have danced a lot in the past as well. So it is really normal."
Jaideep's Jewel Thief co-star Nikita Dutta added that the entire set was excited to witness the Paatal Lok actor dance during the shoot of the song, Jaadu. "He literally had an audience. Everyone was like 'Jaideep is going to audience. We need to see this'," she shared.
The track, Jaadu, also saw Saif Ali Khan and Nikita Dutta showing off their moves and grooving to the peppy beats and retro-style rhythm.
Speaking of Jewel Thief, Jaideep will be seen essaying the role of a menacing mafia boss in the film. "About the character, all I can say is it’s new, intense, and an unexplored territory for me, but such a well-crafted character like all of the others in the film," he had earlier said.
Jewel Thief is a heist drama set against the backdrop of Budapest, Istanbul and Mumbai. THe film is set to stream on Netflix, starting April 25.
