Ditched Bus For Bike, Factory Workers Run Over By Speeding Vehicle On Way To Work In MP's Gwalior
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Two factory workers died in a road accident while commuting to work early Monday morning in Gwalior. They were on their way to Surya Factory at around 5 am.
As soon as they reached near Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 4 on Bhind Road, a high speed unknown vehicle coming from behind hit them. The collision was so severe that both died on the spot.
Police began the investigation
Other factory employees coming from behind informed the police and family members about the incident. Maharajpura police station reached the spot and took the bodies under surveillance and sent them for postmortem to JAH and now with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby, the vehicle that hit them is being searched.
The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Bhoopsingh Sikarwar, a resident of Surya Vihar Colony, Pinto Park, and his neighbour and fellow employee Mukesh Agnihotri.
Both worked at Surya Factory and went to Malanpur daily. Usually, they would take but, however, on Monday they decided to take bike due to some personal work.
Bhoopsingh's friend Amit Chauhan, who saw both of them lying on the road, immediately informed the police and Bhoopsingh's son Vishnu Sikarwar. By the time the son reached the spot, his father had already died.
The police is now scanning the CCTV cameras installed in the Kendriya Vidyalaya located near the incident site and in the surrounding areas. Also, toll plaza are being monitored, so that the unknown vehicle and its driver can be identified, which caused this tragic accident.
