Perseverance, grit, dedication is the recipe to success. Nothing is achieved without shedding some blood and sweat. For students, the immediate goal is to successfully pass their exams and get admission in their desired institutions. In India, the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Exam (IIT-JEE) is regarded as one of the country’s most challenging competitive exams that is not easy to crack. Every year lakhs of students appear for few number of seats increasing the competitive rate of the entrance test. Harshita Kejriwal, former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter, was one of the students who cracked IIT JEE Advanced and was enrolled in India’s top college.

When Arvind Kejriwal’s Daughter Harshita Kejriwal Cracked IIT JEE Advanced

Father like daughter, much! For the uninitiated, the founder of Aam Admi Party (AAP) himself is a pass out from IIT Delhi. He qualified all JEE examinations and secured a seat at the prestigious institute for engineering.

Former CM’s daughter appeared for IIT JEE and cleared the Advanced paper with a rank of 3322. Prior to this, she got over 96 percent in her class 12th Central Boards of Secondary Examination (CBSE). Reportedly, she got 98 per cent in class 10th CBSE too.

Next, she pursued a course in B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi and was ranked amongst the top performers. After completing her degree in 2018, she joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as an Associate Consultant in Gurugram. Later, she co-founded a health company by the name Basil Health. .The company focusses on providing customisable healthy food options, with help of technology. “Basil was born from a passion to make clean, unprocessed food accessible to everyone. Recognizing the dilemma of choosing between oily cheap options and expensive diet food while on the go, the founders aimed to be a trusted brand offering affordable, preservative-free daily needs, revolutionizing convenient and healthy eating,” states its website.

Well, truth be told, academic excellence runs in the family. Her parents, Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi’s former Chief Minister) and mother Sunita Kejriwal, are both former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers. Her brother also secured over 96 percent in class 12 CBSE and secured a seat in IIT Delhi.
