Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to star alongside Malayalam cinema heavyweight Prithviraj Sukumaran in Meghna Gulzar's 'Daayra'. The film, produced by Junglee Pictures, promises to be an intense crime-drama that explores the moral and societal complexities of justice in today’s world.
Set against the backdrop of crime, punishment, and the grey zones of the legal system, 'Daayra' aims to challenge conventional narratives while compelling audiences to reflect on deeper societal issues.

Marking a major milestone in her career, Kareena shared her enthusiasm about the project, saying, “As I celebrate 25 incredible years in Hindi cinema, I'm thrilled to announce my next film, Daayra, with the incredible Meghna Gulzar in the director’s chair. I've long admired her work, from Talvar to Raazi, and to be directed by her is a dream come true. The film also marks a significant collaboration for Prithviraj, who was instantly drawn to the story.

Currently in pre-production, 'Daayra' is being co-written by Meghna Gulzar along with Sima and Yash. With its powerful cast, strong storytelling, and socially charged themes, the film is poised to deliver a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
