Video: Drunk Man Inappropriately Touches Woman Near Delhi's Shivaji Enclave Market; Police Complaint Registered
A woman was allegedly harassed by a drunk man who followed her and touched her arms while she was returning home on Tuesday night. The incident took place near Delhi's Shivaji Enclave market around 9 PM, when a man inappropriately touched her and made her feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Identified as Bhawna Sharma, the woman narrated the ordeal on social media and mentioned about filing a complaint at the nearest police station.
In the video titled 'Molester alert', Sharma filmed the man who misbehaved with her on the streets of the national capital. He was seen smoking a cigarette sitting next to a few parked cars on the roadside. She pointed at him and said the man didn't fear jail or any punishment.
The woman mentioned she was returning home that night when this man, dressed in a white shirt and casual pants, approached her and placed his hands on her arms, leaving her shocked.
"I'm on my way home. It's 9 at night. And a guy comes up from behind me and does that. I couldn't utter a word", she said.
She was shocked with the sudden and inappropriate touch, that she questioned him, "What are you doing?". "I couldn't think... I didn't understand what to say. I directly went to the police and he was a drunk man", Sharma shared in her Instagram reel.
She mentioned that the unknown man who touched her had no regrets or fear of legal consequences. "Usse koi dar nahi hai. (He has no fear)", she said.
Sharing further details about his reaction to the incident, Sharma said, "When I was making his video, his reaction was like - Do whatever you want. I will go to jail and come back. For him, jail is like going to a village home and coming back".
She expressed that such molesters have no fear of being sent to jail.
