Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A criminal was shot at by two persons in the Azad Nagar area on Sunday. Police believe that Jitendra, alias JD Yadav, was attacked over an old rivalry. JD, who is undergoing treatment at a city hospital, is out of danger. His statements are being recorded.
According to additional DCP (zone-1) Aalok Kumar Sharma, the two attackers have been identified as Shakir Kala and Moin, both residents of the Chandan Nagar area, and a search is on for them.
He said the two men opened fire on JD, a resident of the Banganga area, who sustained bullet injuries on his back. The accused hadn’t been arrested till the filing of this report.
Sources said police are trying to link the attack on JD to an old case of mistaken identities. JD was allegedly involved in a murder case. Once, when he was admitted to the MY Hospital, two criminals allegedly planned to shoot him there. However, JD changed his hospital bed, and the attackers ended up killing another person, Ramdayal.
