A powerful explosion occurred at a firecracker factory in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, killing eight workers and injuring several others. The blast caused extensive damage to the factory, completely destroying the manufacturing unit. The shockwave from the explosion spread debris across a wide area, and a fire broke out in nearby materials. At the time of the explosion, over 30 workers were inside the factory, and eight lost their lives. Many others were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are also working to control the fire that spread to surrounding fields. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences, and the Prime Minister’s Office also extended their sympathies through a tweet. The central government has promised assistance to the families of the victims.
