Isha Ambani’s beauty secret
Well, in 2014, during a candid interview with Vogue, Isha shared her beauty regime, which is surprisingly quite relatable. When asked about her skincare routine, she smiled and confessed, “My beauty secret is that I have no beauty routine or regimen, to the disappointment of many. I do nothing to my skin.” Being one of the most influential women in India, this refreshing honesty came as a shock to many.
Isha Ambani on how she maintains her frizzy hair
Isha further revealed that how people often see her with sleek hair, but her natural hair is curly and frizzy. “Most people are used to seeing me with sleek, blow-dried hair. But my natural texture is quite voluminous, curly, with some frizz.” she said.
She further elaborated that how her hair looks like when unstyled, “On a regular day, if you caught me without styling, that’s how my hair looks. I’m accustomed to seeing myself like that, though I haven’t always embraced it.”
Explaining humidity and heat are the main causes for her stubborn frizz, Isha stated, “I think a lot of that comes from growing up in India, which is hot and humid. Oily hair just becomes frizzy and out of control.”
Isha Ambani challenges society’s beauty standards
Isha also opened up about the societal beauty norms to have sleek, controlled hair that often neglects the natural curls and volume. “I don’t think we’ve celebrated having curls, volume, or frizz. It’s never been looked at as pretty or beautiful. I mean, you always had to oil your hair and comb it down so it wouldn’t look so out of control.” She said.
She admitted that her recent photoshoot with Vogue made her reconsider her thoughts on hair styling. “Maybe I should not like blow-dried hair as much and just let it be what it is naturally. I think we need to just be more comfortable with who we are in our own skin.” Isha said.
Isha Ambani’s natural and authentic approach to beauty is a reminder to accept your self in every possible way.
