THIS young Pakistan batter replaces Kane Williamson in Karachi Kings squad for PSL 2025

New Delhi: Karachi Kings have completed their roster changes for the tenth season of the Pakistan Super League. Australian wicketkeeper-batter Ben McDermott and Pakistan Under-19 captain Saad Baig have been signed as replacements.

Two overseas players have been replaced on the squad due to injuries. These are partial replacements, suggesting the injured players may return later in the tournament if they recover.

Saad Baig will partially fill the roster spot left by Kane Williamson, who is unavailable for the Karachi portion of the tournament due to prior commitments. Williamson was originally listed as a supplementary player.

Following strong performances at the recent ICC U19 World Cup, Pakistan’s young cricketer, Baig, who previously played for the Karachi Kings’ Emerging Category team, has gained significant recognition and is considered a promising talent.

Ben McDermott will replace Litton Das on the HBL PSL 2025 Silver Category roster. Das withdrew due to a hairline fracture discovered during pre-tournament medical evaluations.

Australian cricketer McDermott, known for his powerful hitting and versatility, brings substantial T20 experience to the Kings. His success in leagues like the Big Bash League and The Hundred makes him a valuable asset to their team.
