Stage set for PM Modi’s rally in Yamunanagar
The stage is set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival for laying the foundation stone of a new 800 MW unit of Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar on April 14.
An elaborate security arrangement has been made for the Prime Minister’s visit. As per the information, about 3,000 policemen, including 10 SPs, 29 DSPs and 75 inspectors from various districts will be on duty. Besides this, 22 check posts have been set up across the district and route diversion will be implemented to streamline the traffic. More than 15 camps have been set up by the Health Department at the venue, where teams of doctors will be present. In addition, 25 ambulances will be deployed at various places so that quick medical assistance can be provided in case of any emergency.
Restrictions on heavy vehicles
In view of the Prime Minister’s visit in Yamunanagar on Monday, the Yamunanagar police have imposed restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers, containers, etc. These will not be allowed to travel from Panchkula towards Yamunanagar on Monday. Inspector Sunil Kumar, In-charge, Panchkula City Traffic, advised heavy vehicle drivers to use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience
Yamunanagar Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta also reviewed the preparations. “The Prime Minister will the lay the foundation stone of the third unit at the power plant, and all arrangements have been made for the event at Kail village. A close watch is being kept on every activity. Keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens coming to the rally, all arrangements have been made. Three parking lots have been arranged so that citizens do not face any inconvenience. A traffic advisory plan has also been prepared and released, with parking spots for the convenience of the public.”
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders also visited the rally venue to check the preparedness. Cabinet Minister Krishan Lal Panwar held a meeting with BJP leaders and assigned duties for the rally. He said: “Lakhs of people from 12 districts will participate in the Prime Minister’s rally. The BJP has also put in all its strength to make it a success.”
Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana said the Prime Minister’s visit to Haryana was a matter of great pride for the people of the state, as he was bringing with him a slew of development projects and blessings for the state. The projects will prove to be milestones in Haryana’s development and prosperity.
Appealing to the people of the state to attend the rallies in large numbers, Rana said special bus arrangements had been made to ensure people could easily reach the venue. PM Modi’s visit to Haryana marked a major step forward in the state’s development journey, he added.
