Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today visited the PGI to inquire about the well-being of the AAP supporters, some of whom are suspects in the case.
District Congress in-charge Deepinder Singh Dhillon, meanwhile, blamed Randhawa for encouraging illegal mining and gangsters, claiming that Minta has 14 cases registered against him.
Minta in his complaint had told police that the rival group attacked them with rods before reaching the hospital where they were instigated by Dera Bassi Congress president’s son, Udayvir Singh Dhillon, to attack them again.
Cops are investigating the role of Dhilllon, a former Zirakpur MC president, in the case.
The complaint mentions that medical scissors, screwdrivers and fire extinguishers besides furniture were used in the attack but relevant sections have not been mentioned in the case.
