PU to host national faculty programme
The Panjab University will host a national-level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship between April 21 and 25.
The programme will be organised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Union Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, in collaboration with the varsity’s Technology Enabling Centre (TEC).
This five-day initiative will aim to enhance the capacities of faculty members involved in innovation-driven teaching, startup mentoring, incubator management, as well as entrepreneurship promotion across higher educational institutions.
Designed to foster a culture of innovation on campuses, the programme will deliver intensive training sessions, expert-led discussions, and hands-on workshops.
Sahil Makkar from PAN will deliver a motivational talk on evangelising entrepreneurship among students, highlighting ways in which faculty can cultivate entrepreneurial thinking in classrooms. Nitika Mishra Khurana from CAN will address financial literacy for startups under the theme of building entrepreneurial capacity in campuses.
