Here's What Both Captains Said During Toss
Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain):
"We are going to bowl first. We know that our batting is doing well while chasing. We don't know the wicket will behave because we are playing here for the first time. So, we will chase tonight.I don't trust too much in the past numbers. If you bowl well and bat well, you will get the result in your favor."
"I think in Vizag, it was a small ground. The key is to follow your plans. You have to be brave. If you are hit for one six, you should be brave to come in and bowl in the same spot. Playing in front of the home crowd, will get the support us as well. I think Faf is injured. But it's the same XI. We will see who we will use as impact sub."
Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain):
"I mean, yeah, four games I had won the toss, but it is good to lose a toss and see what you get to do. I don't think there is a lack of experience in our team. Everyone has played plenty of cricket. The conversations in the team have been trying to identify where we've made mistakes and get better. We're not far from the perfect game."
"We are trying not to hit the panic button. I have realized that getting panicked won't do any world of good for you. It doesn't help you. As a group, we are aware of it. We're trying to be as calm as possible and back each other as a unit. IPL is a long tournament. It gets tough to catch up. I hope things go well. There is not much margin for error. Hopefully, everything comes good tonight. Same team for us."
