SRH vs PBKS: Diving Ishan Kishan stops the ball but fails to spot in on the field, viral video shows Pat Cummins coming to help | WATCH
SRH's Ishan Kishan failing to spot the ball on the field made the internet LOL | X
It would have happened to most who have played cricket on the fields or in backyards. Tennis balls may become difficult to spot if struck towards bushes or greenish pastures. Muddy patches offer the perfect camouflage for rubber balls too. However, the scenario is highly unlikely to happen at a professional level. The balls used are either red or white and the field is almost always green. However, Ishan Kishan may disagree.
During the high-scoring IPL encounter between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on Saturday, there was a light moment that brought laughter to everyone watching. Fielding at mid-on, Kishan sprinted well to stop a straight drive off a Mohammed Shami delivery that was racing towards the boundary. An athletic dive helped Kishan to stop the ball in its tracks.
However, there was a delay in throwing the ball back to the bowler as Kishan couldn't find it on the field. The ball fell on the white area of a field branding (ground advertisement) which hid it from the left-handed batter's site. Kishan was lost and it was his captain Pat Cummins who finally recovered the ball, the telecast showed.

Shami, Cummins and Ishan Kishan himself joined the commentators in laughing at the unusual predicament during the match.
The game, a run fest, was one to remember as Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma was delighted after his blistering knock of 141 off 55 balls helped his team to snatch an eight-wicket win against Punjab Kings.

Abishek Sharma hit 10 sixes and 14 boundaries as he notched up his first IPL century, the highest score by an Indian in the competition. His contribution helped hosts Hyderabad to pull off the second-highest successful run chase in the tournament's history with nine balls to spare after Punjab posted 245-6 on a batting-friendly track.
