BJD Organizational Elections: 16 District Presidents Elected Unopposed

Bhubaneswar: The organizational election process of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is nearing completion.
The BJD district presidents have been elected unopposed in 16 districts.
In the fourth phase, nominations have been received from 16 districts. As only one candidate filed a nomination for the post of BJD district president in each of these districts, 16 leaders have been elected unopposed as BJD district presidents, according to party’s state election officer Pratap Keshari Deb.
Their names will be announced this evening, he added.
The nominations for the remaining 7 districts are still pending.
He further stated that the fifth phase will involve elections for the State Council, followed by the sixth phase for the State Executive, where the state president will be elected.
Subsequent elections for other positions, including block and municipal presidents, will also take place. The selection of youth, student, and women wing presidents will be finalized with the approval of the state president.
This election process is expected to strengthen the party’s organizational structure, according to the BJD.
