Jaat Box Office Day 3: Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda Film Collects Rs. 25 Cr
'Jaat' was released at the box office amid much anticipation. The Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda starrer has been directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by the South producer, Mythri Movie Makers, the banner behind the Pushpa franchise.
However, despite the hype and excitement around Sunny Deol's return the box office performance of 'Jaat' is only a fraction of 'Gadar 2'. The film managed to hit double digits on Saturday, its third day since release, when it collected Rs. 10 cr. This was a very minor increase considering the film's opening day collection was Rs. 9.5 cr. The box office collection of 'Jaat' on Friday was at Rs. 7 cr.

As per trade analyst site, Sacnilk.com, the domestic box office collection of 'Jaat' after three days now stands at Rs. 26. 50 cr. The film has in fact earned three times less than 'Gadar 2', which had collected Rs. 134.88 cr during its opening weekend in India. 'Gadar 2' also became the top 10 highest grossing films in India collecting Rs. 525.45 cr.
Meanwhile, beside 'Jaat', Salman Khan' 'Sikandar' is also running at the theatres. However, even 'Sikandar' has managed to collect Rs. 108.45 cr.
However, with Jaat's dismal performance, it is not sure when the film will be able to cross the coveted Rs. 100 cr mark.
Meanwhile, in the upcoming week, 'Jaat' will have to compete with two Hindi films, Karan Tyagi's historical courtroom drama 'Kesari 2', starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Another film that will release alongside 'Kesari 2', is Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy and Sunny Singh's 'The Bhootnii'.
