Lightning Causes Death Of 11 Buffaloes In Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 11 buffaloes reportedly died after being struck by lightning in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to information, the incident occurred in Dhekua village of Shivpuri around 2 am, when the 11 buffaloes of a farmer were in the cowshed.

The lightning struck during heavy rain and storm in several parts of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. Due to heavy rain and storm in the district, a tree also fell on a mud house of Captain Singh Yadav in Manjari village of Badarwas tehsil.

Madhya Pradesh is witnessing unexpected weather in the season of summer due to western disturbances. Due to the same, light rain drenched more than a dozen districts including Dhar, Indore on Saturday.

Hail was also witnessed in some districts. The weather in Satna suddenly changed at around 4 am. Here, it rained for about 2 hours amid gusty winds, bringing the temperature down.

Lightning Kills 13 Buffaloes In Morena 10 July

A similar incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Morena last year on July 10, when 13 buffaloes lost their lives due to natural lightning.

The incident occurred in a pond near Kheri Wala Hanuman temple of Gajadhar Ka Pura village in Tentara Gram Panchayat of Morena district.

According to information, the buffaloes were present inside a pond to which they go to daily. However, while they were inside the pond it was raining heavily.

At the same time, lightning struck in the sky with thunder and fell on the buffaloes. Due to this incident, all the 13 buffaloes present in the pond died in agony.
