Tensions escalated when the procession passed by a mosque and was allegedly pelted with stones from its rooftop. Visuals surfaced showing individuals armed with sticks and swords attacking the participants, including a man dressed as Lord Hanuman who was beaten with belts. Several people, including a 14-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries. Police have arrested nine individuals so far, including the main accused Vicky Khan. Authorities are using CCTV footage and viral videos to identify more suspects. While the Hindu side claims the procession had prior permission and was peaceful, the administration states otherwise.
