IPL 2025: Travis Head Indulges In Heated Altercation With Glenn Maxwell In SRH vs PBKS Clash, Marcus Stoinis Intervenes; Video
SunRisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head was involved in a heated altercation with his fellow countryman and Punjab Kings all-rounder Glenn Maxwell during the IPL 2025 game on Saturday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In a video surfaced on social media, Marcus Stoinis had also intervened and seemed to have calmed things down.
The incident occurred after the ninth over of the innings as Maxwell had a shy at the stumps after Head drove the ball down the ground off the former's bowling. With the left-handed batter not seeming to have liked it, they both had a heated conversation. However, it simmered down quickly.

"It is always fun playing against team-mates" - Travis Head
Speaking to the host broadcaster about the altercation, Head merely dismissed it as a friendly banter between him and Maxwell.
"It is always fun playing against team-mates. A bit of friendly batter."
Having blasted a 37-ball 66 and sharing a 171-run stand with Abhishek Sharma, the southpaw stated that they compliment each other quite well and believed they stood chance at the halfway mark.
"Not bad. Nice to get on the winner's list. We needed it. We had our work cut out at halfway stage. We wanted to give ourselves a chance. I was a bit patient in the first two overs. Abhi got off to a flier. Nice to get back into the rhythm. We just wanted to make sure to do the small things right like we did last year. We complement each other really well. We got a bit lucky as well, which was nice. This particular wicket has had a lot of high scores."
