April 13 is considered to be one of the darkest days of India's freedom struggle. Hundreds of unsuspecting men, women and children were killed during a peaceful gathering in Amritsar's Jallianwala Bagh when British forces opened fire on them. On this day in 1997, Tiger Woods became the youngest golfer to win the Masters Tournament. He was also the first golfer of African-American and Asian descent to win the prestigious tournament
