After the intervention of a Rajya Sabha member, the Railway Minister took cognizance and the train started running after 21 days.
The operation of Rajyarani Express started from Meerut to Lucknow on Thursday. Passengers who reached the station looked happy with the running of the train. However, there was also resentment among the passengers about the fact that every time this train is often canceled without any concrete reason. Six to six and a half thousand passengers travel daily by this train from Meerut to Lucknow route.
Work is going on on bridge number 111 in Kanpur Central. Work is going on here for eight to nine hours daily since March 19. Due to this, six trains of Lucknow to Kanpur route are affected. Veerangana Laxmi Bai Junction Jhansi – Lucknow Intercity Express has also been canceled in up and down from this route.
Along with this, Rajyarani Express which does not pass through this route has also been canceled for 43 days. Dainik Jagran had prominently published news about this. Taking initiative on which Rajya Sabha member Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai first talked to the Railway Ministry and then Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
The Railway Minister took cognizance of the problems of the passengers and the operation of the train started from Meerut on Thursday morning after 21 days. The primary maintenance of this train will be done in Lucknow and secondary maintenance in Meerut.
The train was full of passengers
The operation of Rajyarani Express was flagged off on the night of April 8. Reservation started on April 9. When the train stopped at platform number four on Thursday, there was a long queue at the counter to get tickets. The entire train looked full. At the same time, most of the seats in the Lucknow-bound Vande Bharat standing on platform number one were empty.
I was trying to get reservation in Nauchandi Express for going to Lucknow for many days. But it was showing waitlisted. Yesterday when I read about Rajya Rani running in newspapers, I got reservation in it. This train is the best for us students.
