An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck parts of Pakistan, sending shockwaves across the region. The tremors were strongly felt in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting people to rush out of homes and offices in fear.  According to early reports from seismological agencies, the epicenter was located in northern Pakistan, a region known for frequent seismic activity due to its location along major fault lines.

As per the National Center for Seismology, the quake’s epicenter was located at latitude 33.63°N and longitude 72.46°E, at a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
