Security arrangements in place for PM Modi’s Yamunanagar visit: DC
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme will be organised in 170 acres at Kail village of Yamunanagar district.
Out of the total 170 acres, 40 acres will be used to set up the main pandal and 96 acres for parking of vehicles.
A special tent is being installed for the event, which could withstand water, fire and storm.
Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lay the foundation stone of the third unit of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant at Kail village in Yamunanagar district on April 14.
He said all necessary preparations were being made by the district administration for the successfully organising the programme.
He added that 50,000-60,000 persons were expected to attend the programme.
“Adequate arrangements have been made related to seating, drinking water, toilets and security,” said Gupta.
He said three public parking lots were being made on the Karnal-Saharanpur highway, on Chhachhrauli road and opposite it. The DC said adequate arrangements were made for the security of the Prime Minister.
“As many as 3,000 policemen including 10 Superintendents of Police, 29 Deputy Superintendent of Police and 75 inspectors from various districts will be deputed on duty,” said the DC.
He said 22 checkposts would be set up in the district and route diversion would also be made to control the traffic.
He added that the Health Department was setting up more than 15 medical points at the event venue, where a team of doctors would be present.
He said apart from this, 25 ambulances would also be stationed at various sites.
The DC said the farmers, whose agricultural land was being used for organising the programme, would be given proper compensation for the crop soon.
Demand for land compensation has been sent to the government,” said Gupta.
