Don’t know about Evgeny Kuznetsov, but Alexander Nikishin’s officially come from the KHL to the NHL

Alexander Nikishin is set to join Carolina Hurricanes. He comes from SKA Saint Petersburg of the KHL. The Hurricanes signed Nikishin to a two-year entry-level contract. This follows Evgeny Kuznetsov's departure from the KHL. There were speculations about Kuznetsov joining Philadelphia Flyers. But the Hurricanes chose Nikishin instead. Nikishin's contract includes a $832,500 salary and a $185,000 signing bonus.
