New Energy for Nimar Region – 500 MVA Capacity power Transformer Energized at Julwania
Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) has successfully installed and energized a 500 MVA power transformer for the first time in the Nimar region. This transformer has been installed at the 400 kV substation in Julwania and is the third transformer of this capacity in the state — the previous two were installed only in Bhopal.
State Energy Minister Mr. Pradyumn Singh Tomar stated that the objective of this project is to ensure direct and high-quality power supply from the Singaji Super Thermal Power Plant in Khandwa to the Nimar region. This project has been completed at a cost of approximately Rs. 30 crore.
Benefit to Agriculture and Irrigation-
The Energy Minister added that the activation of this transformer will ensure adequate and quality electricity supply to agricultural consumers in the upcoming Rabi season. Additionally, lift irrigation projects will now receive uninterrupted electricity supply.
