MC Commissioner conducts surprise inspection in Panchkula

In a bid to boost cleanliness and improve infrastructure standards, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Aparajita carried out a surprise inspection of Sector-17 under Ward No. 03.

During the visit, she reviewed staff attendance, issued show-cause notices to absentees and expressed strong displeasure over the poor sanitation in the area. Taking stern action, she directed salary deductions for the Ward ASI and Supervisor and penalised the contractor responsible for the deteriorated road conditions.

The Commissioner issued instructions for the immediate repair of damaged roads, footpaths, green belts, the CBD drain along the road leading to the residential area . Stressing the importance of urban upkeep, Aparajita stated that “cleanliness is our priority.”
