Celebratory Firing On Birthday Lands Four Youths In Jail In Bhopal
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Firing shots late at night to celebrate the birthday of their friend landed four youths in jail. Ayodhya Nagar police not only arrested them but also seized the gun and their luxury SUV.
Locals panicked hearing gunshots and called up police late Tuesday night. Police registered an FIR on the complaint of a security guard of an apartment.
According to reports, security guard at Sheetal Paradise apartment Guruprasad reported that in the intervening night on Tuesday and Wednesday around 3 am, he was on duty when a black SUV (Thar) stopped at the main gate.
Four youths came out of the vehicle and after some time they parked their vehicle near the temple on the society premises. The youths then took out a gun from the vehicle and fired three shots in the air. Panic prevailed among residents of the apartment after hearing gunshots.
TI Ayodhya Nagar police station Mahesh Lilhare said CCTV footage were scanned to identify the culprits. Police have booked Aniket Thakur (23), Raj Thakur (24), Aman Dubey (23) of Misrod and Sajal Raghuvanshi of Saket Nagar area. Aniket’s family is in real estate and travel business and the licensed gun is in his name.
Questioning from them revealed that they were celebrating birthday of Sajal and fired shots to celebrate the occasion. No past criminal record of the youths was found yet, the TI added.
