Rajasthan: Vasundhara Raje Slams Officials Over Water Crisis In Her Constituency Jhalawar
Jaipur: Former CM of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje looked in action again and turned furious on the water crisis in her constituency Jhalawar. The central government has sought a report from state government regarding this.
Regarding the water woos in her constituency and questioning the working of the officials Raje, on social media, said “Doesn't the public feel thirsty? Only you officers feel thirsty. The public is troubled due to the drinking water crisis in summer. Water should reach the people, not on paper. The officers are sleeping, the people are crying. I will not let this happen,”
Raje said “the Prime Minister has given 42 thousand crores in Jal Jeevan Mission. Give an account of every penny as to what you did with the amount allotted to Jhalawar? Our government is giving money to solve the drinking water crisis, but the officers are not implementing the schemes properly. That is why the people of Rajasthan are thirsty.”
She further stated that none of the officers could give a satisfactory answer. “Do not test the patience of the people. This will never work in Jhalawar,” Raje warned.
Responding to the issue raised by Vasundhara Raje, the central government has sought an immediate report from the Rajasthan government on the drinking water crisis.
Union Jalshakti Minister CR Patil wrote on social media - Vasundhara Raje's concern raised about the water crisis in Jhalawar has been taken seriously. A factual report has been sought from the Rajasthan government.
Notably, Raje was in visit of her constituency Jhalawar where people complained her about the serious drinking water crisis in the area. She called on officers to clear the situation but none of them could give a satisfactory reply.
Meanwhile, opposition Congress targeted the government on Raje's remarks. Leader of opposition Tikaram Julie said that Raje if the former CM is helpless, one can imagine the condition of the common man in BJP rule in Rajasthan.
