Dominican Republic: Death toll from night club ceiling collapse rises to 98

SANTO DOMINGO, Apr 9: The death toll from the roof collapse at an iconic night club in Santo Domingo has risen to 98.
Relief and rescue operation are going on in full swing and rescuers are trying to bring out people from under the rubble.
“We continue clearing debris and searching for people” said rescue operators.
The ceiling of the night club collapsed on Tuesday when there were hundreds of people inside.
Among the victims are the governor of north-western province of Montecristi, Nelsy Cruz, the sister of baseball star Nelson Cruz. (UNI)
