A speed trial of 160 kmph was conducted from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Railway Division to Dhanbad Railway Division and after that it has been proved that express trains will be faster than Vande Bharat. Railways has now started preparing for this. In the coming days, all trains will run at a speed of 160 kmph.
The semi high speed train running at the speed of 160 kmph covered the distance of 400 km from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU) to Dhanbad in just three hours and 55 minutes.
The 200 km journey from Gaya to Dhanbad was completed in just one hour and 57 minutes. On the return journey, it reached Gaya from Dhanbad in just 1 hour and 48 minutes. It takes 2 hours 32 minutes to reach Gaya from Dhanbad by Rajdhani Express and 2 hours 45 minutes by Vande Bharat.
With the success of the speed trial of the Railway General Manager, a new chapter has been added to the achievements of East Central Railway. This will pave the way for faster and safer travel in future. In the trial run of the General Manager, an inspection vehicle, a brake vehicle and a third AC coach were attached at the front and back. Speed trials were conducted by riding on different inspection vehicles. DDU DRM Rajesh Gupta was present from DDU to Gaya and Dhanbad DRM Kamal Kishore Sinha was present during the inspection from Gaya to Dhanbad.
