Meet Princess of Saudi Arabia who created history as she became first ever woman to…, her name is…

Women creating records and shattering the glass ceiling has been cardinal point in inspiring empowerment. It is only when one leads that one sets and an example. For women, across the world, having a voice and then using it for change has not always been an easy thing to do. In the contemporary age, women are taking over in every domain, male dominated spaces and establishing a place for themselves too. Similarly, a Princess of Saudi Arabia became a beacon of change she wanted the see in the world.

With great power comes great responsibility and yielding it in the right the directions is essential. This Princess found her calling in a space that has become more than essential in today’s sedentary lifestyle era. Her name is Princess Mashael Bint Faisal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

Being a royal does not mean to sit on the throne ideally all day long. With the regal powers and networking comes a sense of responsibility too. The Princess made history when she took that step for herself. She started by contributing in the domain of wellness and yoga tremendously. Recognising her work, she was appointed as the Board Member of the Asian Yogasana Sports Federation (AYSF), representing Saudi Arabia, and as the President of the Women & Children’s Safeguarding Committee, a first from her country.

Elated to witness the change and progress in the field , the Saudi Yoga Committee took to their official social media handle on X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, They captioned it, “The Saudi Yoga Committee extends its heartfelt congratulations to Her Highness Princess Mashael bint Faisal Al Saud on her appointment as a Board Member of the Asian Yogasana Sports Federation (AYSF), representing Saudi Arabia, and as the President of the Women & Children’s Safeguarding Committee. We wish Her Highness every success in advancing the role of women and children in sports and promoting the values of safety and empowerment in the athletic community @Mishael_Faisal1.” (sic)

Princes of Saudi Arabia has over 15 years of yoga expertise, including Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, the Himalayan tradition of meditation, and yoga therapy. Yoga is an age old practise that has been central to bring harmony of the body, mind and soul that is based on the subtle science.

She trained with the AYSF in 2022, mastering yoga federation management and Yogasana systems. She is not just limited to accomplishments  yoga is is a passionate advocate for women and youth in sports, the AYSF stated. She owns and runs a sports nongovernmental organisation and heads the women’s committee of the Arab Cycling Federation.
